About me

Hello.

I'm Dawid.

I don't have decades of experience. My professional journey so far consists of 2 years as a creative freelancer, primarily working with food & beverages and hospitality businesses, a handful of competitions, startup simulations, and hackathons, one fairly long internship, and an unhealthy amount of time spent inside Figma.

My story with design started early — although, to be fair, I'm still pretty early myself. I was often pronounced a great artist by my family, especially considering the amount of mess I managed to create whenever I was performing my “art.” Looking back, I'm not entirely sure whether they were impressed by the final result or simply relieved when I finished.

Then I discovered the digital world, and suddenly I could build things without covering the house in paper, markers, and questionable creative experiments.

That discovery sent me down a rabbit hole.

First came YouTube. Then video editing. Then graphic design. Then a few small freelance projects. Before I knew it, I was sixteen, working with real clients and somehow earning real money from creative work. For a moment, it felt like I had figured everything out.

Turns out I hadn't.

I was overloaded, constantly working, and slowly burning out. A funny thing for a seventeen-year-old to say, but that's exactly how it felt.

Then I discovered UX design.

Suddenly all the things I enjoyed — psychology, business, technology, problem-solving, design — started making sense together.

Since then, I've spent my time jumping into startup competitions, product challenges, hackathons, and anything that lets me solve interesting problems. Most recently, I've been working as a UX Designer at Partners Banka a.s., and honestly, I've loved every minute of it.

Maybe that's because I'm a bit of a workaholic.

Sure, sitting on a beach in the Bahamas sounds nice. But if you gave me a laptop and an interesting product problem to solve while I was there, I'd probably be even happier.

I guess.

If you've made it all the way down here — first, thank you for reading. Secondly, instead of making this story any longer, let's continue it over a coffee chat.
